How does Eyelid lift work?
Blepharoplasty is performed by making a cut in the natural skin fold of the lid. Excess skin and fat are removed, after closure of the incision, the scar remains in the skin fold and is hardly visible. It’s possible to combine the surgery with other cosmetic treatments at the same time to enhance the youthful appearance of the face.
Is the procedure painful?
No. The procedure is performed under the local anaesthesia. The surgery can be done under sedation or general anaesthesia.
What are the risks?
The risks you need to consider are the risk of infection, the risk of a large bruise, the risk of the scar thickening to become more visible and a theoretical risk of blurry vision or double vision and dry eye.
